Charles Darwin was a great letter-writer. What better way, therefore, to campaign for celebrating him on a British bank note than via the written word? Listed below is a selection of the correspondence concerning our (now successfully completed) campaign to have Darwin celebrated on a bank note:

On this date in 2000, the Bank of England published a press release, announcing that Charles Darwin was to appear on the new £10 note. The Friends of Charles Darwin's campaign was officially over.
