What Charles Darwin did for geology.
If he hadn't worked out the secret of life with his theory of evolution by means of Natural Selection, Charles Darwin would no doubt have been almost as famous for his important geological work.
This is a meticulously researched and well-written book, but will probably only be of interest to real Darwin groupies like me.
