Did my ancestor know Charles Darwin?
Over the years, I have received a number of Darwin-related queries from amateur genealogists. I am happy to look through my large collection of Darwin-related books to see if your ancestor's name appears (only one three successes so far!), but, before I do, you might want to visit the The Darwin Correspondence Project website and consult their impressive index of names to see if your ancestor's name appears. The index lists everyone mentioned in Darwin's letters (both those he sent, and those he received).
Good luck!
